Monster Island

The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island of The Asylum, ironically released at the same time Godzilla: King of the Monsters was, is about an Island called Monster Island where a monster could be discovered.


This movie is about a asylum. As such, it has a budget roughly equivalent to a large family meal. It makes careful use of it, focusing on only a few people and keeping the (right here) big stars on one single set so that all sequences can still be shot during lunch. The Asylum may not do such a terrible job considering this is the kaiju-style film.
